Nico Zafarana - Sealed Air Collaboration

Project Overview

Working under the guidance of Sealed Air to assist in the research and development of concepts for the “front door” experience of welcoming, engaging, and educating small to medium size businesses in an e-commerce packaging and design solution.

My Contributions

Throughout this project, my role changed substantially as did many different members of our team. I started out in User research, conducting interviews and expert interviews. Then moved on to idea generation, prototyping and development and graphic design/UI design. Toward the end of the project I was leading in interface and product design along with Juan Florez and Madeline Esper, while also designing the entire immersive presentation.

Reflecting on the project

This was my first SCADPro and I got very lucky with an amazing team and amazing leadership from our project lead and project professor. I was so excited to hear that our project would actually produce an influence toward a real product in the future.

Upon reflection, I do wish our project timeline would be extended, as our user and expert testing was minimal and lead to a product that was possibly not as developed as it could have been. Regardless we developed an MVP that is completely useable and a valuable asset toward Sealed Air.
